The busy village of Storrington lies at the foot of the South Downs, in beautiful Sussex countryside with wonderful walks within the South Downs National Park as well as National Trust heath & woodland just along the lane at St Georges. Sandy Lane has properties only on one side and is a little-known lane in the network winding between Washington Road and Rock Road. Interesting homes of differing age and design are set in semi-rural surroundings. At the end of the lane, and Englewood enjoys some of the finest uninterrupted views directly over National Trust farmland to the South Downs in the distance.

Storrington village is about 1½ miles to the west with useful shops & traders providing good everyday shopping; with a large Waitrose store (John Lewis Collection Point) and Costa in Old Mill Square. There is a new M&S petrol station and convenience store at Ashington, with larger Tesco and Sainsbury's stores in neighbouring Pulborough. The village also has a Post Office, library, health centre, banks, deli, restaurants, coffee shops and good community amenities. Leisure activities include golf, mountain-biking on the Downs; and Chanctonbury Leisure Centre & Gym (swimming at Steyning). A good choice of private and state schools will be found in the area, including Windlesham House, Farlington, Dorset House, Lancing College and Steyning Grammar School.

There is sailing from Chichester & Littlehampton harbours and gliding at Parham Airfield; with horseracing and the renowned Festival of Speed & Revival motorsport events at glorious Goodwood.  Brighton, Chichester & Horsham are accessible, with top High Street shopping names and theatre productions; plus a variety of cultural events and exhibitions.

Sandy Lane only has properties on one side, with Englewood set back in a raised position on its wide plot, enjoying a green outlook to trees and woodland. Built in 1985 and featuring significant improvements in recent years, this is an interesting home; large windows and clean lines creating a light, "designer" air. Living and bedroom space sits above the semi-basement double garage and lower rooms, giving an elevated view over the gardens. The versatile interior includes excellent additional space, including a study/4th bedroom, a workshop and store room as well as the large double garage. The property has had a gas-fired system and "architectural" double glazing installed, as well as two contemporary bathrooms and a stylish new cloakroom. Mature gardens wrap around the property, providing wonderful colour, natural privacy and there is an extensive terrace on the south and west side. An ideal property for family buyers or those seeking an interesting home with extra space that can fulfil a variety of needs.
