Wisborough Green


Newpound is a semi-rural hamlet about 1.5 miles north of Wisborough Green, known for its picturesque cottages around the cricket green. There is a village shop and historic country inns. Schools in the area include the village first school and Farlington private school. Loxwood has other traditional shops and a school about 2.5 mils to the north. The bust Sussex town of Billingshurst is about 2.5 miles to the east and provides good shopping facilities, as well as a commuter main line rail service to London (Horsham/Gatwick Express, Victoria 60 minutes). Cranleigh is about 10 miles to the north. Guildford, Chichester and Horsham have the top high street shopping names, as well as hosting theatre productions and a variety of culturalevents and exhibitions.

Billingshurst Leisure Centre has a swimming pool; and there is sailing from Chichester and Littlehampton harbours. There is gliding at Parham airfield; horseracing and renowned Festival of Speed & Revival motor sports at Goodwood. The area is surrounded by miles of unspoilt countryside and farmland with extensive walking and riding country.
