Location

Thakeham is a semi-rural area to the north of Storrington, the quaint old village centre being about a mile away with its pretty cottages, parish church and the ancient White Lion Inn; known for its hospitality and good food. Storrington village has a busy, friendly
atmosphere and offers traditional local shops as well as a large Waitrose store & Costa.  There are also restaurants, take-aways & community amenities, together with banks, Post Office, Public Library and Health Centre.  Tesco & Sainsbury's stores are in neighbouring Pulborough.
 
The area is known for its countryside, with nearby walks, mountain bike trails and access to the South Downs National Park. Other leisure activities include golf, gliding at Parham; and the Chanctonbury Leisure Centre & Gym (swimming at Billingshurst & Steyning). 

Further afield, Glorious Goodwood has the renowned Festival of Speed & Revival motorsport events; and there is sailing from Chichester & Littlehampton harbours. Horsham, Chichester & Brighton have the top High Street shopping names and host a variety of cultural and entertainment events.
