Clive Pightling

Principal and Managing Director

Growing up with parents who moved home frequently, it was fitting that Clive entered a career in estate agency; working through to become a young partner in one of the big Surrey agency firms.

Clive has enjoyed more than 30 years successful experience in property. As a director with a national estate agency group, he moved to Binderton near Chichester in 1991. In 2003, he acquired the Clarke & Charlesworth business from the founding partners. Many people will remember him, then working with his daughter Melanie, building and developing the new Clarke & Charlesworth. He always has a passion for property and close contact at the front line.

Music remains another passion (together with cars!), Clive playing guitar in a band formed in 1995 that is still busy with appearances at a variety of venues & functions.

Now in the third “generation” of Clarke & Charlesworth, Clive and his team look forward to helping new clients and old friends in the business of finding either their dream home or the ideal buyer. He says:

"Fashions & systems in agency change, but we find that good service and innovation never go out of style".

Angela Would

Angela joined Clarke & Charlesworth in 2006/7 with a degree in marketing and a wealth of business as well as property experience from administrative and sales & marketing roles in the property industry. She has worked in the Arts in London, Herefordshire & West Sussex.

Prior to joining Clarke & Charlesworth she lived in Herefordshire, working on the Board of an arts centre to help achieve funding for expansion and refurbishment projects. Away from work, she enjoyed renovating a “black & white” period cottage; rescuing and developing an orchard to supply organic apples for a well known cidermaker.

Angela’s extensive office role covers everything from client & buyer contact, sale progressing and correspondence right through to display & brochure work. In her spare time she plays the piano and enjoys walking her springer spaniel in the Sussex countryside.

Victoria Anderson

Victoria has been with Clarke & Charlesworth since shortly after she and her family bought their present home through the office. She assists with viewings and day to day contact in the office – with her work history in recruitment, she is a friendly and enthusiastic point of contact.

Living in the village, she has a great passion for property and interiors, having renovated properties in Brighton as well as being a busy mum.

You’ll often see Victoria buzzing around the village showing buyers around our properties. She really enjoys meeting people and discussing their ideas on property and locations as well as advising on local issues and schooling.

Margaret Brown

After ten years working in the house selling and letting industry in West Sussex through very different markets, Margaret joined us here at Church Street in 2010; seeing our clients & customers both in the office and on property viewings, she has a professional, friendly and helpful disposition.

Margaret has been a Storrington resident for eighteen years, developing a broad knowledge of the various types of housing in the area. She is well qualified to advise on the wide range of facilities, interests and hobbies available in and around the villages.

In her spare time she and her husband enjoy the Arts, dancing, collecting antiques and entertaining at home.

Andrea Wilkinson

Andrea moved from Steyning to London and worked at Great Ormond Street Hospital, returning to this area to bring up her family. She has been working with the team part-time and on Saturdays since 2004; in fact since she bought and sold through C & C.

With her own curtain & soft furnishing business in Petworth, Andrea is happy if required, and as part of our marketing service, to give clients of Clarke & Charlesworth useful tips on property style and presentation to make a home most welcoming and saleable.

In day-to-day contact, she helps put our buyers & sellers at ease by discussing and understanding their home needs and preferences.
